The Best Burger in Abuja

No long story you guys. I mentioned to one of my friends that I was craving a really good burger and he said he knew a few places we could try out. I haven't ordered the burgers in a lot of places and when I told him Charcoal was my go-to he laughed hysterically and was surprised that Charcoal is still open. I ain't even mad though because apparently there's a lot of abuja I haven't seen and I'm open to exploring.

We set out on a journey to find the best burgers. He wanted to try 3 different places in one day, but I'm not trying to add weight, so I said 2's my max.

First stop: the Clubhouse in Life camp. This is kind of a secret location, and I've already said too much 🙊

Verdict: This burger was actually amazing. Wayyyy better than what I'm used to at Charcoal in Wuse 2 on so many levels. The fries were stale but the patty was juicy and the bun was fresh. The peanuts were complimentary, and the burger also came with a side of coleslaw pictured here. I ordered a glass of freshly squeezed OJ to go with my meal.

Poolside at the clubhouse.

Second Stop: Vanilla Lounge in Maitama.

I was surprised to find out that the 2nd stop would be vanilla. Yes, the same vanilla you go to in Abuja for drinks and 'clubbing' when you don't want to go to a club.

The burger we wanted had been removed from the menu, so my friend convinced the chef to make us something off the menu!

This is what it looked it. The amount of mayo they put on the burger was pretty intense. Had me thinking they weren't sure about the taste of the patty itself 😏.

Verdict: It was pretty good but not worth the hype. I'd rather go back to the clubhouse when next I'm craving a burger. I also don't eat mayo so that threw me off a whole lot.

The crinkly fries reminded me of ShakeShack - my one true love.

I remember the day I had 3 ShakeShack smoke shack burgers lol. that's a story for another time 😝

What the burger looks like put together.

Both burgers were reasonably priced between N3,000- N5,000 .

Next time you're craving a burger in Abuja, definitely try out either of these places. Are there other hidden gems you guys know about ?
