Review || Simply Green Juice 5-Day Cleanse

If you're here because you're considering doing a cleanse and don't know what to expect, keep reading to see how it went for me. I am in no way a professional; please note that effects of cleansing will be different depending on the individual. Day 1

Super pumped let's do this.


I got through it easily, even drank 3 of the cleanse intense juices which I now dislike with a passion hah. By the end of the day I asked for it to be replaced with the lighter green juice (get naked). My bowel movement was noticeably enhanced on this day. I also attended a boot camp class on this day. IT was intense!

Day 2


“wow am I really not going to eat” Woke up feeling light but missing food. I struggled but I made it through the day without any solid food.

Slightly motivated to keep going by my stomach which was visibly flatter.

Day 3

I don't think I can do this. I am sooooo weak. I fee like I could be blown over by the wind.. Tried to eat snacks here and there at work but I had already told everyone I was doing the cleanse and they were watching me LOL.


Day 4

If i can do this I can do anything, but alas I could not. This was difficult because I had a social work event in the evening and I didn't know when I ordered a drink.....I knoowwww ... not sure if this ruined the cleanse but I had a whiskey cocktail and I loved it.


Day 5

Moooooood the night before and all through day 5. I realized that 6 juices a day i.e. 3litres of juice was a lot for me mostly because I typically eat once or twice a day. I know I did not follow the strict regimen on the program but I still felt like a winner. Doing an exercise like this is good for enhancing discipline and reseting your eating habits.


VERDICT

For my first time trying a cleanse, I think i did okay.

I was pretty ambitious in going for 5 days instead of the 3 days cleanse.

I don't have a scale at home (which is seriously weird because when I was in college, I would weight myself every single morning) and I kinda forgot to weight myself last time I was in the gym. Only noticeable difference is a slight change in my appetite (I have fewer cravings) and I lost a couple of inches off my waist (definitely a win).

Would i do the cleanse again, YES! but next time, I'd go for 3 days, or even 2 days a week instead of 5 days in a row.
