It's amazing how I've always believed that I was incapable of taking care of my hair
I loved my natural hair right after my big chop is 2012. I even dyed it honey blonde a couple of times, and I ROCKED IT SHORT!
Once it started growing out, I started to hide it. Not because I didn't like the look but because I felt like that was the only way it would grow. It would always be in braids or cornrows and under a wig.
I was hiding it because I dod not want to deal with it. I felt it would be too hard. and once or twice when I had tried, the experience was excruciating.
Something changed in me earlier this year and I decided that I would wear it out more often. I started with mini twists which I had in for about 3 weeks. shortly after that, the lockdown was announced in April. This was the period in which I started to really pay attention to and take care of my hair.
Watch the video to see the steps I took and which products I use to wash and take care of my 4c natural hair.
I can now say that wash days are happy days and the fear aspect of dealing with my natural hair has been eliminated.
I hope this video helps you get to that point as well.
